Day 2 started early since Ron and Amy got up at 6. I left Concordia planning to stop by some other cousins and make Indiana for the night.
My first stop was at VaLynda's and Curt's farm. We shared some breakfast and stories then I followed them to the pasture where Curt and Nic were working on a cow pond.
My next stop Manhattan, Kansas home to Kansas State where I met Dalton who is about to graduate. Also in Manhattan I met Jennifer and her husband Jessie.
By now it was almost 1 pm and I started to realize I wasn't going to make Indiana. Never the less I took the road less travelled out of Manhattan and rode backroads across the Flint Hills of Kansas along the Oregon and California Trails.
I finally crossed the Missouri River at St. Joseph hoping to make Hannibal, MO. However, after a brief stop in Chillicothe where I my mom used to have family I only made it Macon before it got to dark ride safely and not worry about deer.
